Delete your LoveTwine account

You can delete your LoveTwine account and its data at any time. There are two ways to do it: from inside the app, or by email if you have already uninstalled it.
Deletion is permanent. Once your account is deleted it cannot be restored, and neither can the content that goes with it. If you only want to separate from your partner, use Unlink in Settings instead — that ends the link without deleting your account.
Delete from the app
- Open LoveTwine and sign in.
- Go to Settings from the icon in the top bar.
- Scroll to Delete Account.
- Confirm when asked. Your account is deleted straight away.
Delete by email
If you have uninstalled the app, email Contact@lovetwine.com from the email address on your account, with the subject line Delete my account.
We may ask you to confirm ownership of the account before deleting it. Requests are handled within 30 days, and usually much sooner.
What gets deleted
Everything you created:
- Your account and sign-in details
- Timeline moments you added, including the photos attached to them
- Your weekly check-in entries
- Your cycle entries
- Your Touch Languages answers
- Your drawings on the canvas
- Everything stored on your own phone, once the app is uninstalled — including your Twine AI conversations and saved conversation cards, which are never uploaded to our servers
Some shared settings are removed too, because they belong to the relationship rather than to one person: cycle settings, the daily touch suggestion, and the record of which activities you and your partner both liked.
If your partner checked in during the same week as one of your check-ins, the AI reflection on their entry is cleared as well, because it was written using your answers.
What stays
- Letters you sent your partner. A letter is something you gave to them, so it stays with them.
- Shared goals and bucket list items. These belong to the two of you together and are not recorded as belonging to one person.
- Your partner’s own letters, moments, check-ins and drawings. These are theirs and are not deleted.
What happens to your partner
Deleting your account also ends the link between you. Your partner is told that you deleted your account. Their own content stays in the database, but the shared space it lived in is closed, so it is no longer available to them in the app. They can link with someone new, which creates a fresh shared space.
After deletion
Your data is removed immediately. Copies may remain in Google’s routine backups for a short period before being overwritten. We keep no separate archive of your content.
